When we considered where to plant Intimate Church, we knew we wanted to be in a city where we could have a meaningful impact. Ottawa isn’t just the capital of Canada; it’s a city of influence, diversity, and innovation, drawing people from all over the country and the world. We believe God called us to this specific city to build a church that reflects this rich mosaic—a place where everyone, no matter their background, can experience a deeper relationship with Jesus. Our vision is to serve the people of this great city with His love and truth.
Godfred and Christabel’s journey with God is marked by a deep passion for Him and a commitment to His work. From their teenage years, ministry has been a central part of their lives, leading campus fellowships and pastoring in Accra, Ghana.
In 2020, amidst a global pandemic, God placed a clear vision on their hearts to establish a new community.
He led Godfred to relocate to Ottawa to join Christabel. Currently, Godfred serves at LifeCentre Orleans as a Prayer Team Member and Baptism Team Leader, and together they have been blessed with two sons, Jedidiah-Jachin and David-Jeriah. With their family as the foundation, they felt a calling to build a family-focused church—a safe haven where people could experience God’s transforming power.
Intimate Church is the result of that divine calling.
